Mosaic Reports 23.1, due for release in February 2023, introduces reporting changes that allow care leaver contact after age 21 to be captured from forms in Mosaic. This update enables reporting requirements to be met for 2022/23 onwards.

⚠️Important: The workflow step for post-21 contact must be kept separate from other care leaver contact recording. This is required for the updated reporting logic to work correctly.

Set up your care leaver contact forms

To capture the information needed for post-21 reporting, you will need to update your existing care leaver contact forms.

  • Add a radio button or drop-down list question to capture the young person's birthday date.

  • Ensure the workflow step for post-21 contact is separate from other care leaver contact recording.

What changes in Mosaic Reports 23.1

The following updates will be made as part of the Mosaic Reports 23.1 release.

Reporting logic

The logic for the relevant tables and reports will be updated to:

  • Capture the latest information recorded within the reporting period for young people aged 21 and over.

  • Remain unchanged for 16–21 recording.

Filters and groups

  • New filters will be introduced to allow you to identify the relevant form questions.

  • Existing groups will be updated so that form answers can be categorised alongside the current care leavers screen data.

Care leaver screen

The care leaver screen functionality will not change. However, where a form answer is available, it will take precedence over the screen data for reporting purposes.

📌Note: The care leaver screen itself is not affected by this change, only how the data is prioritised in reports.
