When a person transitions from a child to an adult record, the Care Leaver menu can sometimes appear unavailable. You can restore access to the care leaver screens by following the steps below.
đNote: The Care Leaver menu option becomes available when there is a Care Leaver in touch recording on the record. The first recording is due at age 17, so it should be completed before the context changes to adult.
Why the Looked After menu may still show on an adult record
The Care Leaver menu relies on previous recordings being present on the record. If the Looked After status, Placement, or Care Leaver in touch recordings are missing, the menu will not be available on the adult record.
đNote: If these recordings were made in a system prior to Mosaic, they may not be present on the record.
Make the care leaver screens available
To make the screens available on eligible adult records, follow these simple steps. Ideally, carry out this process out of hours when others are not working on the record.
Ensure the previous recordings of Looked After status, Placement, and/or Care Leaver in touch are on the record.
Temporarily change the context to child.
Add the missing items: Looked After status, Placement, and/or Care Leaver in touch.
Change the context back to adult.
By following these steps, the Care Leaver menu should be available permanently on the record as an adult.
