Mosaic has case indicators, commonly referred to as badges, that provide a quick visual indication of a subject's case status. There are four badges covering the following statuses:
Display of badges on the person identity bar
Each badge will display according to rules that apply to that badge, and will appear at the top right within the person identity bar shown on the Person summary page, as well as on the person identity bar across person specific screens.
The Child Looked After (CLA) badge displays when a child has a Looked After episode record with a current Placement and Legal Status.
The Child in Need (CIN) badge displays when a child has an Incoming or Incomplete workflow step mapped to the Child CIN Episodes report filter. The badge only displays if the child has not already met either of the CP or CLA badge criteria, in which case, the CIN badge will not display.
The Child Protection (CP) badge displays when a child has a registration record showing they are currently subject to Child Protection. The badge links to the most recent Child Protection registration step.
The Risk to Children (RC) badge displays when a person has a registration record showing they are currently registered as a Risk to Children. Please see the Risk to Children note:
π Note: The Risk to Children alerts and badges were introduced in Mosaic 20.1. Any person records that have been recorded as being on the Risk to Children register prior to Mosaic 20.1 will have the badge displayed on their person record, However, badges on related people or cohabitees records will not be displayed, and alerts to relevant workers will not be triggered. To ensure badges and alerts are activated, person records that have been added to the Risk to Children register should be reviewed, and if correctly on the register their registration should be deleted and re-added manually from the side menu of their person summary record. Please refer to the Mosaic Working with Person Summary records guide for details relating to adding people to the register.
Each badge has a tooltip when the mouse hovers over the badge displaying extra contextual information related to the badge. For example, the date from when a child was subject to a temporary Child Protection registration.
Badge Permissions
The display of badges is determined by the permissions for the workerβs role. This is configured within. Configuration Tools, Permissions, Worker Role Type, Person View tab. If the worker Role Type has the setting None, then the badge will not display for that worker role. Otherwise, View and View/Amend will allow the badge to display for that worker Role Type.
The Child Looked After (CLA) badge is configured using the LAC Data (Looked After Child data) setting.
The Child in Need (CIN) badge is configured using the CIN data setting.
The Child Protection (CP) badge is configured using the Child protection registration setting.
The Risk to Children (CIN) badge is configured using the Risk to Children setting.
When a person who is deemed to be a Risk to Children is added to the Risk to Children register, workers are alerted to this when a person they are working with:
Has a personal relationship with the person on the Risk to Children register.
π Note: This functionality is not limited by the person context, children can be added to the Risk to Children register and adults can be deemed at risk, however, the permissions for at risk messages are controlled by separate permissions for Adults and Children, so in that sense, viewing Risk to children warnings on adults can be turned off if no users are given that permission.
