Relevant Integrations
This article applies to all the following integrations:
Cerner HIE Viewer.
Orion EIV.
Intersystems EIV.
Graphnet EIV.
Interweave EIV.
LPRES (2T) EIV.
CIE EIV.
As an Authority, you may refer to this integration by another name such as Care Record or SCR. Please see below on how to identify The Access Group (TAG) terminology for this integration; this will help us to support you more effectively.
⚠️ Important: Please note, this article is not applicable to the Mosaic Information Viewer (MIV).
How do I tell whether my integration is EIV/HIE or MIV?
If you're a Mosaic user viewing health data, you're using either HIE or EIV. You're using HIE only when accessing the Viewer via the left-hand panel in the person record (See below screenshot 1). All EIVs are accessed through a tab on the person record (See below screenshot 2).
If you’re sharing Mosaic data with a health partner, the health partner is using MIV.

Example of an EIV tab: (Screenshot 2)
I am in the HIE and cannot see Mosaic data; which integration is not working?
If you’re in the HIE and can see other partners’ data, the HIE is working.
If you’re seeing ‘Example Council……. F’ within the HIE, there is likely an issue with the MIV integration – please raise a new case with the Mosaic Support team.
If you’re seeing ‘Example Council……. NF’ within the HIE, the MIV is working but the record cannot be found in Mosaic. This is usually an issue with matching criteria. Please test with another record. If you continue to see this issue, please raise a new case with the Mosaic Support team.
Verifying the Issue
If you're using EIV, the Viewer will present as a tab within a Mosaic person record. This may be assigned a user-friendly term such as Care Record. It allows the Mosaic user to see health data related to the record in question.
To identify this issue, you'll notice that when you click the EIV tab, a grey or blank screen appears. You might see a message saying, 'This content is blocked,’ or a sad document icon like the one shown below.
To confirm the nature of the issue:
Press F12 on your keyboard to open Developer Tools without leaving the page.
Click the Console tab at the top of the Dev Tools window to view any error messages.
Two potential issues may be causing this:
Issue 1
Error: ‘Refused to frame ‘examplecouncil.thirdparty.com because it violated the following Content Security Policy directive: “frame-src ‘self’ data”'
This means that a third-party URL has likely been removed from the Content Security Policy (CSP) due to a recent change.
Resolution: Please raise a new ticket with your Mosaic Support team citing the issue and this article.
Issue 2
Error: 'Refused to frame ‘exampleurl.nhs.uk’ because an ancestor violates the following Content Security Policy directive: frame-ancestors ‘self’ exampleurl1.cloud anotherurlexample.nhs.uk yourmosaicurl.accessacloud.com’
The following may be causing this issue:
Your Mosaic URL is not present at all.
Your Mosaic URL is present, but the third-party has also whitelisted the instance. i.e. the list should include mosaicurl.accessacloud.com but not mosaicurl.accessacloud/mosprod.
Often in the case of recent upgrades, your previous Mosaic URL is present, and the third-party needs to whitelist the new URL, please check the new URL is spelt correctly.
Resolution: Please contact the relevant third-party supplier (e.g., Oracle Cerner, Orion, Graphnet) to address this issue. They will be required to whitelist the appropriate URL.
