This only affected customers using an External Document Management System (EDRMS) via MIS or Conexes. The issue was introduced in Mosaic 21.2.1.0 and was resolved in Mosaic 22.2.4.0.
Within Mosaic
Using the subjectless (start without a subject) functionality in Mosaic will not allow save while the workstep is subjectless with an external EDRMS enabled that is functioning through MIS or Conexes.
To replicate
Go to the People menu at the top.
Start without a subject.
Select a workstep.
Do not add a subject.
Click Save.
You'll see an error message at this point. The message refers to uploaded documents, but it appears whether or not you've attached a document to the workstep.
How to Resolve It
Add a subject to the workstep.
Click Save.
Once a subject is added, youβll be able to save and progress the workstep successfully.
While using Mosaic Portal
Where a subjectless step is submitted via the portal, if the step contains an attachment, the workstep will not appear in Mosaic after being submitted from the portal.
β
Although this behaviour is different, the cause is the same as the above, as it relates to the attempt to save a document without a subject.
Mitigation for customers with EDRMS enabled
Subjectless worksteps within Mosaic will need to have a subject added prior to saving.
β
Subjectless worksteps in the portal should not include the option to upload attachments until you are on a version where this issue has been fixed.
