Mosaic doesn’t automatically save worksteps at their creation. Thus, if you exit the workstep without saving, it returns to the incoming state. This is the expected behaviour.

The workstep gets saved when the worker manually saves it or when Mosaic performs an autosave.

To manually save a workstep:

  1. Select the Save icon.

  2. Click the red cross to exit.

  3. Confirm you want to save in the pop-up.

  4. Alternatively, select the green tick icon to finish the workstep.

The start date and time of a workstep is recorded only at the first save rather than the moment the worker begins the step.

If a worker starts a workstep, doesn’t save manually (and there’s no autosave) while editing and then completes the workstep with the green tick, the audit data will show the worker started and completed the workstep at the same time. This is the intended behaviour.
