We currently recommend that sexual orientation is recorded in a form. If you feel this should be added as a specific field, please do ask your Aha users to raise the idea on our ideas portal.
There is some complexity around protected characteristics and not wanting them to be immediately visible on a clients record where not absolutely necessary, as this can lead to subconscious or conscious bias, so we need to make sure we do this in the right way.
We would also want to ensure that the options were able to sufficiently represent each individual identity, so we would have some reservations about this being presented as a finite list. We would appreciate any thoughts on either of these considerations if you do raise or vote on the idea.
