This likely happens because the person's relationships are set up incorrectly.
Right now, the system can detect immediate circular relationships, for example, if person A and B are both set as each other’s mother. In that case, the genogram window shows an error message highlighting the issue.
But if the circular relationship involves more than two people, like A is B’s mother, B is C’s mother, and C is A’s mother, the system can’t detect it. Instead, the client side (JavaScript in the browser) tries to render the genogram, which involves heavy processing and causes Internet Explorer to slow down or become unresponsive. Eventually, an error page appears, but it doesn’t explain that the circular relationship is the cause.
