Carer vacancies not returned when carer has future unavailability

Why a carer may not appear in vacancy search results when they have future periods of unavailability recorded, and how to resolve this.

If a carer has future periods of unavailability recorded, they will only be returned in vacancy search results if those periods do not fall within the date range you are searching. Without an end date on the search, future unavailability may cause the carer to be excluded from results entirely, even if they are available for the period you need.

Workaround

To ensure your search only checks the period you need, always include both a start date and an end date when searching for carer vacancies.

  1. Open the carer vacancy search.

  2. Enter the correct date in the Start date field.

  3. Enter a date in the End date field to define the end of the period you are searching.

  4. Run the search.

Mosaic will return carers whose unavailability doesn't fall within that date range.

⚠️Important: In versions of Mosaic prior to 21.1, the End date field is not available when using the carer vacancy search from the people menu. To search with an end date in earlier versions, use the carer vacancy search within the purchase screens instead.
