When you log in to Mosaic, the work view appears on the left side of the screen. It shows your allocated cases, recently viewed records, and current work items. The work view stays visible while you navigate, so you always have quick access to your caseload.
Work view panels
The work view is organised into collapsible accordion panels. Click on a panel heading to expand or collapse it.
Panel | What it shows |
Allocations | Cases and groups allocated to you that do not currently have an active step assigned to you personally. |
Recently Viewed | People or groups you have recently navigated to. |
Current Work | All active work items assigned to you, including workflow steps, tasks, alerts, visits, and more. |

Your current work panel can contain the following types:

Change the work view layout
Layout | Description |
Wide | The work view fills the full screen. Additional columns are shown (assignee, date, notes). |
Compact | The work view takes a fixed width on the left alongside the main content area. |
Closed | The work view is hidden. |
To change the layout, click the layout icons in the work view header. Your choice is saved for next time.
Sort and organise your work
You can sort items within each panel by clicking column headers. Your sort preferences and folder expansion states are saved automatically across sessions.
Due date traffic light status
Work items with a due date show a colour-coded indicator:
Colour | Meaning |
Red | Overdue. |
Amber | Due soon. |
Green | On track. |
Right-click actions
Right-click on a work item to see available actions such as assign, cancel, open the step, or split the workflow. The actions available depend on the item type and your permissions.
Restricted records
If a person's record is restricted and you do not have permission to view it, the work item still appears as a placeholder so you know work exists.
Session timeout
The work view manages session timeout across Mosaic. If you are inactive for too long, a session timeout prompt appears. Interact with it promptly to avoid losing unsaved work.
