Professional Registration via Mosaic

Mosaic doesn't have the functionality to add a step to a worker, which means the process you're attempting to implement using an anonymous form isn't feasible. This is why such a process isn't outlined in our guidance as a professional registration process.

πŸ€“ Tip: To open the links, you'll need to log in to the Customer Success Portal.

Intended Use of Mosaic for Professional Registrations

We didn't anticipate Councils using Mosaic for Professional Portal account registrations in the same way described for Citizens in Section 3.2 page 12 of the guidance.

Typically, system administrators manage the creation of Professional Portal accounts on a case-by-case basis, following the process outlined in Section 3.3, page 26. Local authorities often rely on their own methods for verifying third-party professionals or suppliers before creating accounts, leveraging their existing relationships.

Alternative Process Suggestion

To adapt your desired process, you could create a 'Dummy Citizen' record named something like 'ProfPortal Account Registration.' All requests could then be attributed to this record, with associated details documented in a form.

Next Steps

Include a form outlining the steps to link the correct professional to the Portal account. Conclude with a terminating step labeled something like 'Professional Record Created/Updated.

If you choose to proceed with this approach, you'll need to process all registrations through a single Dummy Citizen account.
This approach lets you track and report on the account's purpose effectively. You can also restrict access to this account to system administrators, if necessary.
