When you try to complete the cycle, you might see:
‘There’s an incomplete certification task still assigned to worker: [worker name]’
When you click the Certify button on the cycle summary screen to withdraw the task, you’ll see:
‘A certification task request already exists’
If you try to action the task from the worker folder, it shows:
‘No action available’
If you can’t complete a payment cycle because Mosaic shows a validation warning that a certification task’s still outstanding even though you’ve already certified the cycle, you may have accidentally sent a certification task request to the same worker twice.
The worker will certify one of the tasks, but the other gets stuck in limbo. With that still in place, Mosaic doesn’t recognize the cycle as certified. The worker can’t do anything with it in their work folder, and it can’t be withdrawn.
We don’t fully know how this happens, but it’s very rare and we can resolve it with a data fix. The data fix removes all certification tasks, certified or not, so you can redo the cycle with a successful outcome.
If you run into this scenario, please raise a new case and include the following:
The Cycle ID that can’t be completed.
A test instance to try it out first.
