If we use the Residential and Nursing service as an example, we can't exclude service users from FABU outside these services unless we have separate financial assessment (FA) forms for different purposes. You'll need to book some consultancy to explore that route further, as it requires careful consideration.
Within the current setup, FABU will take the FA form template from the previous year that you're looking to uplift to the new FA form template. It'll look at service users indiscriminately in that regard. As long as they have the specified FA form from the previous year on their record, FABU will include them in the batch uplift. It's service agnostic.
To exclude service users, you don't want processed via FABU, you have two options:
When you create a new batch uplift on the FABU screens, untick any service user you don't want to uplift from the list the FABU windows give you. This will exclude them from the batch run.
When adding an FA form manually to a person that would typically be used in the FABU run that year:
Go to Section 9 of the CLC form. Check your FA form in case you've tweaked it differently.
Look for the Manual reassessment required next year tick box.
If you want to exclude this service user, tick the Manual reassessment required next year box.
When the FABU batch run occurs, it will disregard and exclude any service user with this box ticked.
In summary, as long as you include an FA template in FABU to uplift from, a service user will appear regardless of the service they have. This applies if the service user has been given the FA template as a standalone form, via FA workflow, or from a previous year's FABU. To exclude a service user, you need to explicitly exclude them via the FA Form as described and exclude them via the batch screens if they appear but aren't required.
