If the Generate Contributions button isn’t showing, there are usually a few reasons to check:
You need to purchase a ‘Key Element’ from the charging regime.
Make sure your charging regime is applied.
Ensure your package type has the 'only one episode at a time' box ticked.
For number 3, you’re only allowed one purchase step open at a time with the care package attached to it. For example, you can’t have more than one step with that care package activity open simultaneously.
This was introduced in version 5.15 because having two concurrent finance steps open at the same time caused data issues. So, it was coded to ensure only one purchase step locks the service user’s finance at any one time. Ticking this box will enable the Generate Contributions button, assuming everything else is in order.
To check this, follow these steps in the Admin Tool:
Go to the Finance Admin menu.
Select Package Types.
Choose the relevant care package type.
Click Amend button.
Check if the ‘Only one episode at a time’ box is ticked.
To apply it, just tick the box and click OK on all screens.
If it hasn’t applied immediately, wait 30 minutes and check again, as the admin tool sometimes needs time to update the database.
If the Generate Contributions button still isn’t showing, please raise a new case and provide the following information:
The instance you’re trying in.
The Person ID you’re trying.
A screenshot of the workstep with the provisions tab to show what’s being purchased.
Config screenshots of one or two elements in the regime and how you’ve mapped them.
A screenshot of the FAR (Financial Assessment Results) screen.
We’ll then look into this and get back to you with further advice.
