You can add and edit carer types in the Admin Tool. Once a carer type's been used on a record, you can't delete it from the Admin Tool.
If you have carer types that aren't in use anymore, you can mark them as Restricted and remove any worker roles from the Roles tab. You’ll need to leave at least one role, usually your system administrator, so they can still see the full list.
This stops other workers from being able to search with those carer types, as they’ll no longer show in the drop-down on the carer register.
