Exporting to Word
From Mosaic version 25.1.0.0 onward, it is possible to export forms and letters (as well as the person summary) to a Microsoft Word format. Specifically, Mosaic can export completed forms and letters using local templates and layouts rather than the generic form and letter templates.
No templates are provided as standard with Mosaic, other than the person summary output, as this functionality is designed for export to local form or letter requirements β to be able to export Mosaic forms into the required templates for other organisations β or to provide different outputs for different purposes from the same Mosaic form. An administrator will have to set up the relevant templates for forms and letters to be exported in Word format.
The provided Word templates will be mapped against the current version of the Mosaic form Person Details Export. They are Adult [English] - Person summary template.docx and Child [English] - Person summary template.docx.
The person summary output can be replicated with an alternative language or form by using them within a workflow step or as a standalone form. It is also possible to update the default forms, but these alternatives may need to be re-uploaded after upgrades.
Note that it is possible to have multiple templates per form or letter , so that different versions could be exported. This might be useful to create both shorter and full versions of a form, for example.
