Error:
'An error was encountered while attempting to update service user groups
java.lang.NullPointerException: element cannot be mapped to a null key'
This was introduced by a change in 22.1.0.0 to allow the deletion of Service User Groups and fixed in Mosaic 22.2.1.0 and 22.1.1.0.
The error is due to the Category of Need (Service User Group) being missing from the Looked After Placement table for one or more of the placement records for the person.
In some cases, it is possible to add the missing value from the front end:
Click Looked after from the left hand menu on the person summary screen of the child's record.
Select Looked after episodes.
Add or amended the Placements if the required Service User Group is not already in place on the person record for the date range covering the placement.
Edit each of the existing placements and select the appropriate value from the Category of Need drop down.
Make any required changes to the person Service User Groups, it should be possible to save without error.
For any priority cases that need to be updated in 22.1.0.0, where it is not possible to correct the data from the front end, or if you require any assistance with the workaround, please raise a new case for each person record affected.
