Worksteps

Once a step has been deleted there is no way to restore this.

Documents

The AUD_MO_DOCUMENT_METADATA table in the Mosaic database contains audit information for attached documents that have been deleted (AUDIT_ACTION = D) but there is no functionality within Mosaic to restore a deleted document as its completely removed at the time of deletion.

Forms

The AUD_MO_FORMS table contains audit information for Mosaic forms that have been deleted, in this case the tables prefixed AUD_MO_FORM_* store the deleted form actions and answers, whilst there is no facility in Mosaic to restore a form, it may be possible to retrieve the answers if required as a chargeable piece of work.

In both cases it may be worth checking if the deleted data is included in another Mosaic environment following a database copy.

Depending on how long ago the document was deleted and the backup retention policy in place it may be possible to restore the database and retrieve the attachment or a pdf copy of the form if it's not possible to locate a copy and there is an urgent need to obtain the file.

Where Access provide a managed or hosted service this would be a chargeable request and we would require a precise date and time when the document, form or step was present on the record to reliably restore the database in order to review the step or retrieve the document/form. Where a step has been deleted in error, a database restore will allow the content to be reviewed but the step will need to be manually created again in the production/live environment. If an external Documents management system is in place, it's likely the document was immediately deleted from the documents store and restore options will depend on whether the documents are backed up and who is responsible for managing the backups and if/how they can be restored.
