πŸ“Œ Note: Person notes start dates are set by the system as the day the note is created. End dates are selected by the worker when ending the note and it is good practice for this date to not be set to a date in the past.

There is no functionality available to change these dates. Where a note has been added in error, it can be deleted by workers with the system function DELETEPERSONNOTE.

You should, however, be aware that, as per the above, any new note will be added with a start date of 'today' so you cannot delete and re-add a note to change the end dates.

The reason for not allowing the dates to be changed, or set in the past, is that the note was visible on the case on those dates. If the end date is set to an earlier date, this would be misleading, as workers may have seen the note later than that date and acted on it based on that information.

If a future end date has been added in error, please raise a new case and we will advise.

If there is further context to be added around notes and specific information in them, we would suggest that this is either added in a case note or workstep as appropriate - or that the text of the note is appended with information to confirm that the note was left on the case longer than required.
