Person note start and end dates are set by the system and by workers respectively. There is no functionality available to change these dates once set. This article explains why, and what options are available to you.
đNote: Person note start dates are set by the system as the day the note is created. End dates are selected by the worker when ending the note. It is good practice for end dates not to be set to a date in the past.
Changing note dates
There is no functionality available to change person note dates. The reason for this is that the note was visible on the case on those dates. If the end date were set to an earlier date, this would be misleading, workers may have seen the note after that date and acted on it based on that information.
You should also be aware that any new note will be added with a start date of today, so deleting and re-adding a note is not a way to change the end date.
Deleting a person note
Where a note has been added in error, it can be deleted by workers who have the DELETEPERSONNOTE system function assigned to them.
đ¤Tip: If further context needs to be added around a note or specific information within it, we would suggest either adding a case note or workstep as appropriate, or appending the text of the note with information to confirm that the note was left on the case longer than required.
