Every person in Mosaic must belong to at least one service user group. Service user groups categorise people based on the services they receive or are eligible for. Each person must have one primary group, and can have multiple secondary groups.
Primary and secondary groups
Primary group
Every person must have exactly one active primary group at all times. The primary group is the main classification used across the system for reporting and routing.
β
Secondary groups
A person can belong to multiple secondary groups at the same time. Secondary groups reflect additional services or classifications beyond the primary group.
π Note: A secondary group's end date must not extend beyond the primary group's end date. If you need to extend a secondary group, extend the primary group first.

Rules and constraints

A secondary group's end date must not go beyond the primary group's end date.
When creating a person with service user groups, one group must be flagged as primary.
