We’ve identified some Oracle Mosaic deployments are using a non-standard package for server-side interface emails. These server-side emails are outside of core Mosaic functionality and not included in requirements specifications. To address this, and to bring environments in line with a standard application environment, emails will no longer be sent from servers in Oracle Mosaic deployments.
For Mosaic upgrades which involve an upgrade to Redhat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7 or later, the mail package will be removed and as a result any emails configured to use this package will no longer be sent from the servers.
We’ve had a number of internal discussions around this capability, and how we can consider the inclusion of the functionality within the Mosaic application itself, which ensures the continued supportability of the functionality within the front-end of the product itself. If you’d like to see us introduce this feature, raise a request on AHA.
We appreciate this may cause some inconvenience, but we trust you understand the importance of standardisation, security, and the focus on quality for the Access product set.
