Adding a scheduled delay to a next action in workstep configuration provides a date field to the user when they add the next action. Mosaic auto-populates this field with a date that is today plus the number of days you have configured.
β
The user adding the next action can edit this date field. If you don't want a specific number of days, you can put the number 1 in the config field. This will auto-populate the field with tomorrow's date, but the user can select a different date.
β
Mosaic calculates the date from the day the user adds the next action and saves it as that date. Saving or finishing the workstep at that point does not affect that date. Once saved, the date will not change.
β
Depending on your global setting for future work, next actions with a scheduled date may appear in incoming or future work. You configure this to a set number of days ahead. For example, if you set your future work to 14 days ahead, any action with a scheduled date of over 14 days ahead will appear in future work. When it is less than 14 days, it will appear in incoming work. Therefore, a scheduled action could immediately appear in incoming work if, in this example, you scheduled it for 10 days' time.
